The little comforts
Our story
Willow & Wood began with a single cabin, a wood stove and a promise: to look after every guest the way we would look after friends coming up for the weekend. Today our small collection of cabins and cottages is still cared for by hand — stacked firewood, fresh linen, a loaf from the village bakery, and a hand-written note on the table.
Hannah & Tom, your hosts

Each one chosen for the way it makes you feel when you first open the door. Find the one that fits your people, your season and your pace.

Days well spent
Firewood stacked and kindling ready on arrival. We leave marshmallows, a tin of cocoa and a few good books chosen for the season.
Unhurried trails from the cabin door — hand-drawn maps in every kitchen drawer, with the best spots for mushrooms, birdsong and sunrise.
Canoes and life jackets at Lantern Lake. Go out at first light when the mist sits on the water and the loons are calling.
Pre-order a breakfast basket of eggs, sourdough, honey and good coffee from the farms down the lane, waiting in the fridge when you arrive.
Every season
Autumn
Crisp walks, woodsmoke on the air and long evenings by the hearth. Our favourite season — and the busiest, so book early.
Winter
Quiet trails, clear starry skies and the deep comfort of coming in from the cold. Midweek stays are wonderfully peaceful.
Spring
Woodland floors turn green, lambs in the fields and the first breakfasts outside on the porch.
Summer
Paddles at dawn, suppers in the garden and evenings that never seem to end.
Our location
Close enough for a Friday-evening drive, far enough that the stars come out properly. Village bakeries, farm shops and trailheads are all a short wander away.
The experience
Mist on the trees. Coffee on the porch, wrapped in a wool blanket.
A woodland walk with our hand-drawn map, or a paddle on the lake.
Fresh bread from the village, a book, and absolutely nowhere to be.
Fire lit, supper on the stove, stars over the clearing.
